Shire by Shire

Terms & Conditions

Last updated 3 November 2026

These terms cover playing Shire by Shire and buying its monthly pass. Please read them before you buy.

1Who we are

Shire by Shire is provided by Shire by Shire Ltd ("we", "us"). When you use the game or buy a pass, your agreement is with us.
You can reach us at shirebyshire2026@gmail.com.

2Accepting these terms

By using Shire by Shire, or continuing to use it after these terms change, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.
If you buy a pass you must be 18 or over, or have permission from a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms for you.

3The game and the pass

Shire by Shire is a trivia game played on a map of the United Kingdom. The Squire level is free to play without an account.
The pass is a subscription costing £1 a month. It opens the Knight and Lord levels, titles and the Hall of Fame for the signed-in account that bought it. Each player in an online Knight or Lord game needs their own pass.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the game for your own entertainment while you keep to these terms.

4Payments, renewals and cancelling

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, tax, renewal, cancellation and refund terms are set out in Paddle's Buyer Terms: www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.
The pass renews every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time under Account › Manage pass; you keep access until the end of the month you've paid for.
For refunds, see our Refund Policy.

5Your account

You sign in with Google or Lovable. Keep that sign-in secure — you're responsible for what happens under your account. Please give accurate details.
You can delete your account in the game once no pass is still billing it.

6Fair use

You must not: use the game for anything unlawful; commit fraud or send spam; copy or infringe our or anyone else's intellectual property; interfere with the game's security, including uploading malware, probing for weaknesses, or scraping the questions or other content; reverse engineer the game, get around its limits or paywall, or resell or redistribute it.
In online games, choose a player name that isn't offensive or impersonating someone.

7Our intellectual property

We own Shire by Shire and everything in it — the software, the question packs, the artwork, the name and branding — or have permission to use it. Nothing in these terms transfers any of it to you.

8Service availability

We work to keep the game running, but we don't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change, add or remove questions and features.
Trivia answers are checked carefully but may occasionally be wrong. The game is for entertainment only.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the game is provided "as is" without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

9Suspending or ending access

We may suspend or end your access if you seriously break these terms, don't pay, put the game's security at risk or are involved in fraud, or repeatedly or seriously break our rules.
When your access ends, the pass stops working. You can delete your account and its data in the game, or ask us to.

10Liability

Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or data.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.

11General

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. We're not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent. We may transfer ours, for example if the game is sold.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK you may also bring a claim in your local courts.
